During the German occupation in Greece, a large resistance movement developed, in which a large percentage of women participated. During the post-independence period (1974), resistance organisations were established with the main demand for the recognition of the National Resistance. Appeal of the organisation ‘United National Resistance’ for the commemoration of the anniversary of the blowing up of the bridge of Gorgopotamos, 14/11/1978.
