Born into a middle-class family with liberal ideals, she encountered literature and music at an early age. She studied and was an active teacher and she joined the feminist movement as a founding member of the League for Women's Rights. Because of her innovative teaching initiatives, she faced attacks, which intensified during the August 4th dictatorship. At the outbreak of the war, she organised herself into the Resistance, took a leading role in the EPON and her activities extended to the PEEA. After liberation, she remained consistent in her struggles for women's liberation and during the Civil War, she was dismissed and exiled because of her resistance background. Later, she joined the EDA and continued to intervene vigorously with articles and studies, an action she maintained both during the dictatorship of April 21<sup>st<\/sup> 1967 and in the post-independence period. She died in 1977.","link":"https:\/\/aski.gr\/wire\/exhibition\/rosa-ioannou-imvrioti\/","name":"Rosa Ioannou Imvrioti (1898-1977)","slug":"rosa-ioannou-imvrioti","taxonomy":"exhibition","meta":[],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/aski.gr\/wire\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/exhibition\/281","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/aski.gr\/wire\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/exhibition"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/aski.gr\/wire\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/taxonomies\/exhibition"}],"wp:post_type":[{"href":"https:\/\/aski.gr\/wire\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/panel?exhibition=281"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
